BHARTI TRIVEDI

FOUNDER & FIBER ARTIST

Welcome to Yashi Designs: A Story of Art, Motherhood, and Empowerment

Hello and welcome! I’m Bharti, the artist and founder behind Yashi Designs.

The Meaning of My Name

My name, Bharti, holds a special meaning in Sanskrit—it represents the goddess of art and creativity, which beautifully resonates with my lifelong passion for artistic expression. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by the tactile nature of handmade crafts, the calming process of creating with my hands, and the organic beauty found in earthy materials like cotton, jute, and wood. Nature has always been my greatest inspiration, and through my work, I seek to translate its raw textures and serene forms into sculptural art pieces that evoke emotion and connection.

Why named Yashi Designs?

The name Yashi Designs is deeply personal. It’s a heartfelt combination of my daughters' names—Aadhya and Aarushi —symbolizing the love, strength, and transformation I experienced through motherhood. Becoming a mother was a profound change in my life, one that inspired me to reconnect with myself and embrace my creativity in a new, empowering way. Art became my voice—a medium through which I could share the journey of human emotions, and the beauty of life’s transitions.

In 2018, I established Yashi Designs to reflect my true passion and create art that resonates with people on a deeper level. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving commercial clients, including Four Seasons, Marriott, Stanly Ranch Resort, Hyatt, Mii Amo Resort and residential projects. My work has been featured in several prestigious magazines, bringing Yashi Designs into homes, hotels, and curated spaces worldwide.

Through Yashi Designs, my hope is to create more than just art—I want to craft stories woven into textures that resonate with your space and your soul. Each piece is a reflection of strength, vulnerability, and the simple joys of nature, inviting you to find your own connection within it.

Thank you for being here. I invite you to explore my work and join me on this creative journey—one that celebrates both the grounding force of nature and the power of feminine resilience.

With warmth and creativity,
Bharti

Why Sustainability Matters in Art and Design

Sustainability in art addresses the urgent need to reduce waste and conserve resources, especially in industries like interior design, where trends can lead to overproduction and waste. Choosing eco-friendly decor not only minimizes environmental harm but also fosters a deeper connection with nature.
For designers and homeowners, incorporating sustainable art is a way to:

• Support ethical practices: Sustainably crafted pieces ensure that materials and processes respect the earth.

• Create timeless spaces: Eco-friendly art often embraces natural materials and designs that transcend fleeting trends.

• Encourage mindful consumption: Investing in sustainable art promotes thoughtful choices over disposable decor.
