Arch is a sculptural fiber wall artwork inspired by architectural curves and natural structural forms.
This work is part of my exploration of architectural forms in fiber sculpture, where traditional knotting and braiding techniques reinterpret structural geometry through the warmth of natural fibers.
Arches draw inspiration from arches found in architecture and nature—forms that represent strength, transition, and support.
My process begins with building structure through repetitive coiling of cotton and shaping, allowing the jute to guide the form. I love working with jute because it holds tension beautifully, creating a natural firmness while still feeling earthy and raw. Each curve is carefully adjusted by hand until it feels balanced, intentional, and effortless.
