The Waves is a modern fiber wall artwork inspired by the natural rhythm of the sea, capturing the gentle ebb and flow of water through sculptural texture and repetition.

This work is part of my exploration of translating natural rhythms into fiber. Through repeated knotting and shaping techniques, I investigate how sculptural fiber can reflect the movement and flow of ocean waves. Light and shadow move across the texture, enhancing the sense of fluidity.

The work was inspired by the calming rhythm of water—how waves rise, fold, and return again and again.

Through slow and repetitive knotting, I built the movement gradually, allowing the fibers to form a quiet visual rhythm that reflects the constant motion of the sea.
