I created The Waves as a reflection of how water constantly changes yet always feels grounding. Through repetitive knotting and structured patterning, I wanted to translate the soothing motion of the ocean into a tactile surface. The walnut wood base adds contrast and stability, allowing the soft cotton form to feel like it is gently drifting, wave after wave, in a quiet moment of stillness.
