Arcade explores the elegance of repeating architectural arches translated into fiber. The sculptural curves create a rhythmic passage of form, evoking movement through space and the quiet harmony found in architectural structures.
The piece is inspired by historic arcades and corridors where arches frame light and shadow. Through braided jute and coiling technique, the work reflects the balance between structure and softness.
Arcade is part of my ongoing exploration of architectural forms in fiber sculpture, where traditional knotting techniques transform structural geometry into tactile, contemporary compositions.
