Converge is a minimalist fiber wall sculpture that transforms traditional maritime knotting into a contemporary form.

Inspired by traditional nautical knots, this piece reinterprets the figure 8 knot as a sculptural composition. I braid soft cotton using the macramé crown knot technique and then shape the resulting rope into the figure eight form, creating a tactile rhythm that bridges tradition and contemporary fiber art.

In my work, knots often symbolize relationships—how individual strands come together to form strength and harmony. Through careful braiding and knotting, Converge reflects the quiet beauty of connection and the interplay of continuity and tension.

This work is part of my Knot Sculptures series, where traditional knotting techniques evolve into contemporary fiber forms exploring connection, continuity, and emotional bonds.

The artwork is ready to hang right out of the box with wall mounting hardware and instructions included for effortless installation. It is recommended that the artwork be installed onto a stud wall for maximum stability. If installation on a stud wall is not possible, it should be secured to drywall using drywall anchors and screws.
